In Windows there’s probably a program that auto starts as soon as you plug your card reader / memory card in and it walks you through saving your pictures off of your memory card to your PC.

So you’ve got an external hard drive that you want to use with your Mac. Wether its a brand new drive or an existing drive with files on it, you’ll probably want to format this drive.
